Long Long Road: Ringo Starr's 2026 Album Explained

What is Long Long Road?

Long Long Road is Ringo's newest record. It came out on April 24, 2026 as his 22nd solo album, and it reunites him with T Bone Burnett, who also produced Look Up. The album has 10 songs. The fall 2026 All Starr Band shows were announced alongside it, which is why you will often see the tour described as supporting the album.

Who are the guests on Long Long Road?

The album features a strong list of guests: Sheryl Crow, Sarah Jarosz, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle and St. Vincent. The mix leans toward roots, bluegrass and Americana players, which fits the direction Ringo started with Look Up.

What was the first single?

"It's Been Too Long", released on March 3, 2026, ahead of the album.

What was Look Up?

Look Up came out on January 10, 2025. It is a country album, again produced by T Bone Burnett, and it was Ringo's first country record in about 50 years. It did well:

• It reached #1 on the UK Country chart and #1 on the UK Americana chart.
• It gave Ringo his first Top 10 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart.
• It reached #147 on the Billboard 200.

The country turn came with some memorable 2025 moments: a two-night tribute at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, aired on CBS as a two-hour special, and Ringo's Grand Ole Opry debut in February 2025.

Will Ringo play Long Long Road songs live?

Probably not many, if any. The setlist from the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on June 14, 2026, played after the album came out, had no songs from Long Long Road or Look Up. It was built entirely from Beatles-era songs, Ringo's solo hits and hits from the other All Starrs. Songs can always be added, so we can't rule it out for the fall dates, but go expecting the classics. See the full running order on our setlist page.

Why doesn't the All Starr Band play the new songs?

It comes down to the format. An All Starr show is designed as a night of hits: about 10 to 12 Ringo songs plus two or three from each band member. With Toto, Men at Work and Average White Band songs to fit alongside "Yellow Submarine" and "Photograph", there is not much room left in a show of about an hour and 45 minutes. Is there a separate Long Long Road or Look Up tour?

No. There is no solo or country tour for either album. The All Starr Band shows are Ringo's only live dates, and the fall 2026 run is ten nights in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, ending in Albany on October 7. Nothing is announced after that, including for 2027 (see our 2027 tour page).

How does Long Long Road fit with Ringo's recent work?

It is the second half of a pairing. Look Up in 2025 marked Ringo's return to country music, and Long Long Road keeps the same producer and the same roots-minded circle of guest players. Between the two albums he also found time for a 12-show spring tour in 2026, a new duet on Paul McCartney's single "Home to Us" (see our Paul McCartney page) and the fall All Starr run. For fans, it means two very different Ringos this year: the country-leaning songwriter on record and the hit-packed bandleader on stage.

Who plays with Ringo on tour?

The All Starr Band, unchanged since 2024: Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Hamish Stuart, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette and Buck Johnson. None of the album guests are part of the touring band. Full details are on our band members page.
