Why is the Easton show special?
Easton is the first night of ten. The band last played together in June, when the spring leg wrapped with a sold-out night at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, so September 24 is the first time this lineup is back on stage after a summer off. Opening nights tend to have a certain energy: the band is fresh, the crowd knows it is seeing the run start, and there is no way to hear about the show from anyone else first.
It is also one of the more intimate rooms on the tour. The State Theatre is a historic downtown theatre, not a shed or an arena, so even the back rows are a lot closer to the stage than they would be at the amphitheaters later in the run.

The same lineup that played in 2024 and the spring of 2026: Steve Lukather of Toto on guitar, Colin Hay of Men at Work, Hamish Stuart of Average White Band on bass, Warren Ham on sax, flute, harmonica and vocals, Gregg Bissonette on drums and Buck Johnson on keyboards. The best guide is the spring run, which finished with 21 songs: Ringo opened with “Matchbox” and “It Don’t Come Easy”, sang “Yellow Submarine”, “Octopus’s Garden”, “Photograph” and “Act Naturally”, and closed with “With a Little Help From My Friends”. But in rooms of this size the first rows of the balcony are often the sweet spot: you see the whole stage, including both drum kits, and the sound is usually well balanced.
