On August 28 and 29, 1964, the Beatles played two sold-out shows at Forest Hills Stadium. According to the official tour announcement, those were the group’s first stadium shows. October 1, 2026 is Ringo’s first time back on that stage in 62 years. For anyone who cares about rock history, that makes this the landmark night of the fall run, and it is the only New York City date.

We do not expect a special setlist, but Beatles-era songs will hit harder on this stage. On the spring 2026 run Ringo sang “Boys”, “I Wanna Be Your Man”, “Act Naturally” and “Matchbox”, all songs he sang with the Beatles, plus “Yellow Submarine”, “Octopus’s Garden” and the closer “With a Little Help From My Friends”. Where are the best seats in a stadium like Forest Hills?

Forest Hills is a historic outdoor tennis stadium, which means the stage sits at one end with seats in a horseshoe of stands and, often, seats or standing room on the floor. Floor sections close to the stage are the most immersive. In the stands, sections facing the stage head-on give a better overall view than the far ends of the horseshoe. Higher rows are cheaper and still see the whole stage, but the band will look small. There is no roof, so weather matters. See our best seats guide.

How do I get to Forest Hills Stadium and where do I park?

Public transport is strongly recommended. The Long Island Rail Road stops at Forest Hills station, a short walk away, and the subway (E, F, M and R lines) stops at 71st Avenue-Forest Hills. The stadium is in a residential neighborhood, and parking nearby is very limited. Leave extra time for the walk and for exit crowds after the show, and check the venue’s own transit page.
